The Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit 

 In the Name of Jesus do we obtain: The Holy Ghost, Instructions, Comfort...

 

Question why do we need the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit? This scripture says it best  Acts 4:31 (KJV) And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. Boldness and Direction..... is the key. The Holy Spirit gives you the boldness to speak the word of God and do the work of God, along with the when and the how. It has precision. Without it our words and work lack the necessary power and effectiveness. Yes the word of God has power alone. But like an arrow in a quiver. With out aim it will hit something if released but with aim you can take your target with one shot as a pose to hoping you will hit something and/or anything. 

Luke 12:12 (KJV) For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say. 

 

Have you received the Holy Ghost since you first believed? It is very important to seek the Baptism of Holy Ghost though the Holy Spirit is with us from the moment of salvation. The manifestation is quite another thing.Acts 19:2 (KJV)

He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. The Baptism of the  Holy Spirit is a very personal thing you can receive it at anytime and any non-sinful situation almost. It is a matter of seeking God for it with your whole heart. Some receive when they are born again and some receive later could be days, weeks, months, or even years. It depends on how serious your are with relationship with the father and his will for you and your desire to do it. He will not waist it with people that are not serious. However he will use it to help you become serious. That is a mystery only he is able to control, seeing that he knows all things and he is omnipotent.  

 

Matthew 28:19 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

This is how Ministers, Pastors, Preachers, Teachers and so forth are able to Go forth teaching the word of God.Because it is a mystery and without the Holy Ghost it is impossible to get the full interpretation of it. I pray daily that the Holy Spirit of God guides my steps. So it does not matter if  you are a beginner or seasoned in the faith you will always have to seek God for guidance. The more seasoned you are the more the spirit of God will draw to you if  your desire is to know God more intimately. The Holy Spirit will begin teaching you the difference between the milk and meat of the word.Acts 2:4 (KJV) And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.   Mark 16:17 (KJV) And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

These are a few of the signs that follow believers with the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. But this is also where your journey in God truly begins. Search the scripture for Gods promises concerning your life. You see if you bring your life line with his word, that that which he Promises he has to fulfill. His promises are just that... promises and if we meet mark according to his word he has to perform. But please understand all things are on and in his timing.

 

Acts 10:44 (KJV) While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

 1 Corinthians 6:19 (KJV)What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own.

 Hebrews 6:4 (KJV)For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

 

I truly believe that these scriptures go somewhat hand in hand. When we come to Christ our bodies are not our own but a living sacrifice holy and acceptably to God. And once you've been enlightened and touched by God you are never the same. You are a totally new creature in Christ Jesus. And once that the Holy Ghost has come upon you their is no Devil that can stop you. When you begin to fellowship with the Holy Spirit you will quickly learn of the friend ship. The bond and the love. Sometimes he will show up and just love on you for no reason at all. Quicken you and lead you out of temptation. Through the name of Jesus their is Power and after the Holy Ghost has come upon you, you will walk in the power of God.
